An Editor’s Commandments

I stayed up Saturday night live-streaming the Hugo Award ceremony. (Well, okay, technically I watched 2/3 of it, since I was editing stories for The Weird Wild West until past 11 pm) It was an entertaining event – David Gerrold and Tananarive Due were delightful together, and there’s nothing that isn’t made more fun by the inclusion of a Dalek. I can’t imagine that anyone, at this point, hasn’t at least heard the basic results – No Awards for most of the literary categories, and Best Novel going to The Three Body Problem by Cixin Liu (and announced by Dr Kjel Lindgren direct from the International Space Station – how cool is that???) Literate Liquors – Hugos, Puppies, Kittens and Kerfuffle

Hey y’all, watch this! I’m back with another episode of Literate Liquors and I share some of my opinions on the recent Hugo Awards mess that has left a lot of hurt feelings all across the SF/F community. Beware, this episode is more NSFW than most of them and includes a lot of me calling people a$$#*!#s and making disparaging comments about their lineage. Hi y’all! Long time no see! Happy May Day! I hope everyone’s doing well, and enjoying our guests. We’ve got some incredible people lined up for the rest of the year, so be sure and stick around for more fun.
